About the Course


Increasingly multiphase pumping is becoming an accepted technology for upstream oil and gas field developments. This tutorial covers the various aspects of multiphase pumping technology from concept to field applications. The emphasis is on the practical side. The tutorial deals with projects involving multiphase pumps and addresses preparing enquiry packages, tendering process and the project implementation issues.

Instructor's Biography


Dr. Hisham Saadawi has more than 25 years experience in the oil industry. His experience includes production operations, design, construction, commissioning and start-up of the oil and gas processing facilities. He has first hand experience with several studies and projects involving multiphase pumping.



He served in the steering committee and sub-committees of several SPE conferences and has published and presented numerous technical papers worldwide on various aspects of facilities design, technical safety and multiphase pumping.



Hisham holds a Ph.D degree from the University of Manchester. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and is as fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
